At a time when children’s safety has become a top priority, the SpecServis team undertook one of its most responsible missions — transforming outdated basement spaces in Kyiv’s schools and kindergartens into modern, fully functional protective shelters. This project goes beyond renovation; it is about creating a safe environment where students, educators, and staff can feel secure when it matters most.
Major renovation and reconstruction of civil protection shelters was carried out in more than 28 educational institutions across Kyiv, including schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, and kindergartens, in compliance with the requirements of DBN B.2.2-5:2023.
Each facility is equipped with essential protective infrastructure, including structural reinforcement, filtered ventilation systems, backup power supply, water supply, and communication networks. The shelters are designed to accommodate children for extended periods and are suitable for everyday use when not serving their protective function.
