Major renovation and outfitting of the military personnel rehabilitation unit at the 12th Municipal Clinical Hospital of Kyiv
For us, this facility is more than a construction project. It is a tangible contribution to supporting those who defend the country. The SpecServis team executed a comprehensive major renovation of a portion of the floor at the 12th MCH, including replanning to create a modern rehabilitation unit for military personnel—a space where health recovery takes place in comfortable, safe, and functional conditions.
The project was implemented using municipal budget funds in the interests of Kyiv residents and all of Ukraine. Prior to commencing works, the company’s specialists conducted a detailed inspection of the premises and developed design solutions in accordance with requirements for medical facilities and the needs of persons with reduced mobility.
Within the scope of the renovation, complete dismantling of existing structures—partitions, screed, and finishes—was performed, and a new space was constructed from the ground up. A single-level floor with medical linoleum was installed, door openings were widened, and new partitions with sound insulation were erected. Walls were finished with laminated panels; in sanitary facilities, treatment rooms, and disinfection areas—with ceramic tiles. Suspended moisture-resistant Armstrong ceilings with integrated lighting fixtures ensure high-quality uniform illumination and simplify maintenance of cleanliness.
All engineering systems were completely replaced: water supply and sewerage systems, power and lighting networks, ventilation and air conditioning. Backup power supply was installed. A complex of low-current systems was installed: fire alarm and notification system, unified time system, structured cabling network (internet and telephony), access control, television, and medical personnel call system.
Aluminum door units compliant with fire safety standards were installed, sanitary equipment, handrails, and bactericidal lamps were mounted.
The result is a modern rehabilitation unit where every detail has been designed for the convenience of patients and staff: functional planning, comfortable microclimate, quality lighting, and materials that are easy to maintain in a clean condition. The space was created with care for people—both for those recovering here and for those working alongside them every day.
